Getting started
What is PixRemover?
PixRemover is a browser-based AI tool that removes objects, people, text and watermarks from photos, and fixed watermarks from short videos. You paint over what you want gone and AI rebuilds the background behind it. More on the About page.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use all four photo tools without an account: 2 free removals every rolling 24 hours. Signing in with Google raises that to 5 and adds 10 free seconds of video watermark removal, once per account.
How does the free limit reset?
It rolls. Each free removal comes back 24 hours after you used it; there is no midnight reset. The limit is shared by the object, people, text and watermark tools.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. PixRemover runs in mobile Safari and Chrome with nothing to install: upload from your camera roll, paint with your finger and download the result.
Uploads and downloads
Do downloads have a watermark?
No. Free and paid downloads carry no PixRemover watermark. Free downloads are resized so the long side is at most 1920px; downloads made with credits keep the full original resolution.
Which file formats can I upload?
JPG, PNG and WebP up to 25MB, plus anything else your browser can open. iPhone HEIC photos open in Safari; in Chrome, Firefox or Edge convert them to JPG first. Videos: MP4, MOV or WebM up to 30 seconds and 200MB.
Can I process many photos at once?
No. There is no batch processing: you clean one photo at a time, which lets you check each result.
Privacy
Do you store my photos?
No. Until you click Remove, your photo stays in your browser. Then the area around your brush strokes is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI provider, fal.ai. We don't save photos or results, and the result file expires automatically within an hour, so download before you close the page. Details: Privacy Policy.
Results
The result is not perfect. What can I do?
Brush the leftover area and run Remove again, or use Try another result, which reruns your strokes on a second AI model. Both use one removal. Brushing slightly wider than the object, including its shadow, usually helps.
Which tool should I use?
Use the people remover for people, the text remover for captions, signs and date stamps, the watermark remover for logos and overlays, and the object remover for everything else. Each is tuned for its job.
Credits and billing
How much do credits cost?
Credit packs cost $4.99 for 40, $9.99 for 120 and $24.99 for 350, and never expire. Pro costs $9.99 a month for 150 credits or $95.88 a year for 1,800. One credit is one photo removal; video costs 3 credits per second. See Pricing.
Am I charged if a removal fails?
No. Failed removals and video runs return their credits or free uses automatically.
Can I get a refund?
Unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days, and a first subscription payment within 7 days if you used no more than 10 credits. See the Refund Policy for the full rules.
Rules
Can I remove a watermark from any image?
Only from images you own or have permission to edit. Removing watermarks from stock previews or other people's photos can infringe copyright and, in the US, break DMCA section 1202. Our Terms of Service limit the watermark and text tools to rights-safe use. More: Is it legal to remove a watermark?
