Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PixRemover ("PixRemover", "we", "us") handles information when you use our website and AI photo-editing tools (the "Service"). The short version: we don't keep your photos. We only collect what we need to run the Service, prevent abuse and process payments.

Your photos

• Before you click "Remove", your photo and the area you paint stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded while you edit.
• When you click "Remove" (or "Try another result"), the photo and the painted mask are sent over an encrypted connection to our servers and passed to our AI processing provider, fal.ai, solely to generate your result.
• We do not save your photos or results in our database or file storage. We instruct fal.ai not to store the request data, and the result file on their servers is set to expire automatically within one hour.
• We never use your photos to train AI models, and we never sell or share them for any other purpose.

Download your result before closing the page — once it's gone from your browser, we can't recover it.

Information we collect

Usage records. For every removal we record a pseudonymous identifier, the tool used, the time, the AI model and whether it succeeded. The identifier is your account ID if you're signed in; otherwise it is a one-way hash of your IP address — we do not store the IP address itself. We use these records to enforce free-usage limits, prevent abuse and understand our costs. They are deleted after 90 days.

Account information. If you create an account we store your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google or GitHub, the basic profile details they share with us (name, email, profile picture). We never receive your Google or GitHub password.

Payment information. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive your purchase details (plan, amount, date, status) but never your full card number or bank details.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested in order to deliver and secure the Service. If analytics is enabled, we use it to see aggregate usage, such as which pages are visited.

Messages you send us. If you contact support, we keep the conversation so we can help you.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser-storage entries:

• Essential: keeping you signed in, and remembering your language.
• Preferences: your light/dark theme, stored in your browser.
• Analytics (only when enabled): aggregate statistics about how the site is used.

We don't use advertising cookies.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, and only what each one needs:

• fal.ai — AI image processing
• Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery and security
• Neon — database hosting
• Our payment processor — payments and billing
• Our email delivery provider — account and transactional emails
• Google, GitHub — optional sign-in
• Our analytics provider (if enabled) — aggregate usage statistics

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of PixRemover, our users or others.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep information

• Photos and results: not stored by us (see above).
• Usage records: 90 days.
• Account information: while your account is open. To close your account, email support@pixremover.com from your account address; we delete your information within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
• Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@pixremover.com. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of a breach where the law requires it.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or on the site.
